This is my 3rd time staying at The Muir Hotel, a luxury property in the Queen's Marque on the waterfront in Halifax. The exceptional attention to detail and 5-star friendliness from door persons, house car drivers, front desk staff, housekeeping staff, gym and spa staff, restaurant staff and Managers made me [and my ftiends] feel special, appreciated; and contributed to our beautiful experience. Thank you to Oran, Rhianne, U.T., Shrada, Arshdeep, Mario, Charles, Geoff and to the Drift staff, Francisco, Mo and Prem! Also a big thanks to Ron in the gym. What an outstanding experience. We will be back in April and look forward to seeing everyone again. Having stayed at the Muir, we could never, and nor would we want, stay anywhere else.

Our stay at The Muir has been fantastic! The rooms are spotless with a sleek, modern design throughout the entire hotel. Everything feels fresh, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special shoutout to U.T. at the front desk — he went above and beyond to help us plan a week-long trip, even creating a detailed itinerary full of great recommendations. His professionalism and genuine hospitality made a huge difference in our experience. Highly recommend The Muir for anyone visiting Halifax — beautiful hotel, great location, and outstanding service!

Incredible stay at the Muir. Staff were amazing starting with the bellman, front desk, AGM (who went out of his way to welcome me) and restaurant staff were all super friendly and helpful. There's so much to love about the Muir. Rooms were comfortable and very well appointed. Local artists are featured throughout the property. Amenities like the pool (albeit very small), salt room, ice plunge, sauna and steam room were very relaxing. Gym is modern and very well equipped. The Muir has a power boat and sailboat to enjoy as excursions during the summer. I was able to take my daughter out for a sail along the harbour. A car service is also available on hand for drop offs and pick ups around downtown Halifax. The restaurant served and excellent breakfast. The hotel is also located ideally along the waterfront with incredible choices of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. As a Bonvoy Titanium member, I was offered a rooms upgrade and breakfast voucher for two covering $35. My only disappointment was how short my stay was - looking forward to my next stay at the Muir.

Great hotel but a few hiccups that caused the 4/5 review. Employees were great and staff very friendly. I found it unfortunate as a group that was visiting was that I could not get to the floor where my friends were staying. The room key locks you to your floor. Another small issue was the coffee pods in the room were not replaced. When i requested more it took a second phone call to the front desk and 45 minutes later i had a coffee. The last issue again minor - could be a hygiene issue and I respect the hotels policy. I wear flat sandals to workout with weights to improve foot and ankle stability. I was asked to leave so I went to the pool and walked barefoot on the pool deck, sauna and salt room.

My wife and I live in Nova Scotia and were looking for a nice getaway to Halifax to treat ourselves over Christmas. And what a treat it was. This is by far the most well-appointed hotel we have ever stayed in. From the man standing outside - in the cold - to direct us to the underground parking, to the registration desk, housekeeping and restaurant service - everything was second to none. And the rooms - exceptional! Well equipped bar, the bathroom spoiled us, and the little extras were all around. Our only request would be a magnifying mirror in the bathroom for my wife. When we arrived, they upgraded our room to one with a view over the harbour! We cannot say enough about this hotel. The food and service in the adjoining restaurant was excellent. It is a cut above and we will make it part of our Christmas family traditions for years to come.

The entire experience staying in this hotel was phenomenal. The room was exceptional, spacious and had an elevated, yet relaxing and cozy design. The staff were so lovely and made our girls feel extra special and welcomed. Every single detail was perfect. Special thanks to the front desk team who wrote our girls a personalized card with snowman sketch. It made their day. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will be staying here again!

Our stay at the Muir was hands down one of the very best – no, scratch that, the best hotel experience we've ever had. For starters, the design and the way the spaces are put together made us feel ridiculously comfortable right from the off. Of course taste is subjective – but there's no arguing that every last detail has been thought through from A to Z and executed to an absolutely impeccable standard and an genuinely organic, delightfully cosy & stimulating atmosphere. The real gem of the place, though, is the people and their flawless service. From the doorman to the front desk, housekeeping, bar staff and restaurant team – everything ticked along like the softest, most elegant grandfather clock in the world: precise, calm, never a fuss, and somehow completely unobtrusive. It's as though a staff member materialises quietly from behind a pot plant the precise second you realise both hands are full, or just as that little question is forming in your head. They do it so naturally and discreetly that you genuinely start feeling like you're being looked after by your own family - the nicest bits of it. No flashy nonsense, no cheap show-off tricks – and I take my hat off to the whole team for having the confidence to skip all that. By some wonderful stroke of luck (or possibly excellent meteorology planning on their part), the blizzard forced us to extend our stay by an extra night – and we weren't exactly complaining. P.S. Those "dried raisins" on the cheese-and-chocolate board? Yeah… they turned out to be Amarena cherries. Just as I was mentally high-fiving myself with a smug "Gotcha!", I looked down in quiet defeat and realised the whole thing was clearly part of a delightfully cheeky little in-joke. Well played, Muir. Very well played. Thank you for everything, you absolute legends. We'll be back!
